My Experience in ELO

5 months of going into this course, I didn't expect to write this much posts. At around 4th grade, I had a terrible time on composing one paragraph. Can you see the difference? I think I have improved a lot since then.

When I first stepped in class, I didn't know what to do. I was the first student that had arrived and the only thing I saw was a metal box with a lock attached to it. Minutes later, I could only see guys going in class. I admit, I was scared that I might be the only girl in class. Luckily, there were 3 of us. The moment Mr. Stardom told us that we would be using iPads, I was real surprised! I have an iPad at home so using it wouldn't be that hard for me.

The next couple weeks, it was when we first used the iPads. It was when I realized that the metal box I saw before, had iPads inside it. Using it was really fun though multitasking from a page to another was hard to achieve. It was a bit complicated because, sometimes, the pages wouldn't load and some of my posts would be deleted.

I have a conclusion, though. In the future, probably, I think schools would be using iPads for every course they have. It would be great as students would have more resources for their work but the bad side is, students would be dependent on them. They would always rely on the information given but we wouldn't know if these are accurate. Though technology is amazing, it's not always better. I prefer being simple as its much easier to use and manage.

... and that was the experience I had; experiences that will never be forgotten.

Podcast #2: "Parenting My Teen Show #48" by Parenting My Teen

This podcast isn't updated frequently. The latest podcast made was in October of 2010. The host, Aurelia Williams, explained her topic very clearly and understandable. She spoke in a normal speed which didn't make the podcast boring. The sound recording isn't that great. She only played on music throughout the podcast, so everything you'll hear is her, stating her opinions. Overall, the podcast pulled me into listening to it. It contained some great sense and information. I give this podcast a score of 8 out of 10.

Podcast #1: "Teen Talk 15, Summer Time" by Nick Incaus

This podcast isn't updated that often. The latest podcast made, was in June of 2009. There is one host, named, Nick Incaus. He does a very good job on stating his opinions about the music he likes but he lacks on putting the topic altogether. He talks in a slow speed and he couldn't explain the thoughts he wanted to imply. The sound recording he did was fun. It brought out the energy him although there were some buzzing sounds in background. Overall, this podcast wasn't that interesting to me. The title seems catchy but when you get to listen to it, there was no topic. It was all about his interests and likes. I give this podcast a score of 4 out of 10.

Student Grossed Out by School Water Fountain

In my opinion, I think people should bring their own water to school. I personally think that water fountains contain various of bacteria unless it's filtered. Most of the students spit on it and we never know what might be inside that water pipe. It's better to safe than nothing.
